RADIO MINISTRY
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
The Radio Ministry: "The voice of The Gospel" was established by Vietnamese Lutheran Church in order to fulfill the Great Commission of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our objective is to share with more than 300,000.00 Vietnamese people at Little Saigon and Orange County. Our target from now until the year of 2000 is for every Vietnamese to have an opportunity to hear about "The Salvation by Grace through Faith" of our beloved Savior Jesus Christ.
"When the good news about the kingdom has been preached all over world and told to all nations, the end will come."(Matt 24:14)
We give thanks to the LORD for His grace he has given us. Thanks Be to God, Our Heavenly Father. He has granted us so much blessings through the RADIO MINISTRY for three months. We have broadcasts for every Tuesday 11.15PM starting August 18 for 45 minutes, on the channel 1480 AM. And that program will be sending one more time in the next day in the early morning. And Friday, on the channel 106.3 FM at 6.15PM, especial for women ministry, which is sponsored by Kim Van’s Cosmetic salon in Huntington Beach. The programs should have
- 5 minutes for opening
- 5 minutes for Gospel and life (the story in the week, concerning under the light of the Gospel)
- 5 minutes for singing (the songs chosen according to the theme of each week)
- 15 minutes for preaching the Gospel, we used themes with which to reach out to non-Christians
- 5 minutes for singing after sermon.
- 10 minutes for praying for those who have needs and call directly on air when the program will be started.
We have contacted 100 people who were calling us directly on air and requesting for praying and sharing their burden with us. We also just recruited 5 families (20 people) into the congregation through this radio ministry. They came on Sunday to worship with us and they said that through the radio program, they were brought to the Church. Praise the Lord. We have also received many responses by telephone from the people who have been hearing this radio program, many of them requested for the cassette tapes to share with their friends and their families too.
We need your praying and sharing the burden with us for this wonderful and helpful ministry.
You may also donate your special offering to pay for the charge of the on air every month est. $1000,00 for the channel 1480 AM.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ.
We greatly appreciate your kindness and supporting and praying. Any of your donations, which are given to us, are helpful for us always.
In God's blessings

Pastor and Council of the Vietnamese Lutheran Church - Westminster
Women ministry: Lead by Kim Van, Tran
We praise the Lord for a couple months ago, Mrs. Kim Van, Tran, who owns the cosmetic salons in Huntington Beach and Little Saigon joined membership at the Vietnamese Lutheran Church. She is a student at The Vietnamese theological college in Garden Grove. She has the talents to recruit the people by witnessing and sharing her life, and hurting experiences to the people who have the same situation as her.
It was great. We praise the Lord for Her.

We have the goal to upgrade the membership in our church growth up to a total of 100 members.
How we can have?
We will receive a Vietnamese pastor student from Moorland Bible College, U.K. who will come to practice in our church for 3 months, from February to May 1999.

God’s words:
"We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up"(Romans 15:1-2)
"He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all-how will he not also, along with him, graciously give all things?"(Romans 8:32)
"Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments, and his path beyond tracing out!
Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counselor?
Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen" (Romans 11:33-36)
" My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you" (John 15:2)
Ä new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:34-35)
"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ"(Galatians 5:2)
"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work to the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain" (I Corinthians 15:58)
WE WISH YOU EVERY SUCCESS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR 1999
